JDBC Providers Release

I’ve put together a release of the JDBC Providers at berlios. This packages up recent bug fixes and the separation of Java and SQL code which makes it easier to support other DB vendors.

Meanwhile Søren and Mikkel are working on a branch to futher separate the DB by using JNDI so we can rely on the servlet container to maintain the DB connections.

One Response to JDBC Providers Release

  1. Mikkel Troest says:

    Hi Xan,

You seem to be unreachable through the berlios site, so I’ll take the liberty of contacting you here…
We’ve promoted the dbrewrite branch to trunk and branched the old trunk out to a “version-1″-branch. Things are looking pretty good now, and Søren and I agree that we should put out a fresh release soon.
Will you be able to have a look at code, and maybe a test run or two?
    - Do you have any objections to releasing a new version?

Søren is currently busy changing to another job, so he’ll be more or less unavailable for an unspecified period of time, but I believe he’ll try to stay sort of in the loop by briefing one of his former colleagues on the jspwiki/jdbcprovider development.

    What are your thoughts?

    :O) Mikkle
