US in Ford Car Names

I noticed that all current Ford cars have “us” in their names. Are they trying to subliminally suggest their patriotism? The current Ford cars are named Focus, Mustang, Taurus and Fusion. They even renamed the Freestyle cross-over vehicle to Taurus S.

I couldn’t find any other support for my theory. Only that a few years ago, Ford started using names that started with F, but backed off recently, such as in renaming the Five Hundred back to Taurus. Maybe they should have called it the Five Thousand.

Here are some other “us” names:

  • Allusion
  • Busy
  • Crush
  • Custard
  • Dusk
  • Facetious
  • Justice
  • Luster
  • Mouse
  • Muse
  • Nervous
  • Rusty
  • Trust
  • Unusual

Which one will Ford use next?

I’m disgusted. This makes me nauseated. How callous can they be? Perhaps this should be discussed with a chorus of Hindus? I find their actions intrusive and odious. They are untrustworthy, and I am unamused.

    Usual gushing bluster!

“Chorus” is my new favorite for the next Ford car name, probably a minivan.

My dad was into cars, and liked to tell everyone the model names were really acronyms. Like, he said Ford stood for Fix Or Repair Daily and Found On Road Dead. I think a lot of people have heard those.

For a while he had a Volvo (Very Odd Looking Vehicular Object) and I had an Acura (Another Crummy Useless Rotten Automobile or Asia’s Curse Upon Roads in America). My brother sold his Jeep (Just Empty Every Pocket) and bought a SAAB (Shape Appears Ass-Backwards). My uncle has a Porsche (Proof Of Rich Spoiled Children Having Everything).

Bonnie and I both used to have cars from the Fix It Again Tony brand.
